Beyonce and Jay Z are no strangers to HBO with their previous projects so what better platform to showcase their latest collab than that of HBO. It has confirmed that Beyonce and Jay Z’s ‘On The Run’ tour will be documented via HBO this September. HBO programming president, Michael Lombardo, stated:
“This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO. It’s going to be a night to remember.”
Beyonce currently has her docu-series, ‘Beyonce: X10’, which encompasses the days of her latest tour along with her highly rated ‘Life Is But a Dream’ which aired in 2013. Jay Z is no stranger either as he aired his documentary, ‘Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film’ in August of 2013.
The concert special will be shot during the international leg of their tour, September 12th and 13th, at State De France in Paris. It will feature the dynamic duo performing over 40 songs.
With the ‘On The Run Tour’ wrapping up in the states at the end of next month, this announcement gives fans the opportunity to view a show at such a high caliber, granted they have HBO.
