Over on the Hot 100, Fetty Wap has made major moves for Hip-Hop. His tracks, ‘Trap Queen,’ ‘My Way,’ and ‘679’ all rank in the top 20. The current standings are as follows:
- ‘Trap Queen’ – #6
- ”My Way’ = #7
- ‘679’ – #18
He becomes the first male rapper to have two tracks in the top 10 since Lil Wayne in 2011 with his tracks ‘She Will’ and ‘How to Love.’ With ‘679’ in the top 20 he becomes the first male rapper since Eminem to have 3 tracks in the top 20. Eminem had 3 in the top 20 in 2013 with ‘The Monster,’ ‘Rap God,’ and ‘Berzerk.’ Congrats on the success!
As for the top 3 on the Hot 100, OMI’s ‘Cheerleader’ remains at the top for the 3rd consecutive week followed by The Weeknd’s, ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ and Silento’s, ‘Watch Me.’ Over on the Billboard 200, Futue has the #1 album with DS2. Taylor Swift is in at #2 with 1989 followed by Tyrese’s, Black Rose, in at #3. Check out The Weeknd’s video for ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ below:
The voice is entering season 9 and the advisers have been announced. As for the judges, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell, and Gwen Stefani will be returning. Here’s the advisers
- Missy Elliott
- John Fogerty
- Selena Gomez
- Brad Paisley
The new season begins on September 21st on NBC.
