Mini Target Haul

I was lucky enough to receive quite a bit of Target gift cards this year for Christmas, so I decided that I’d pick up some of the planner items that I’ve been wanting. The items were purchased from either the $1 spot or in the school section of the store.

The first Target that I went to had all of the Valentine’s items in stock which is a surprise for Targets in my area. It usually takes quite some time for my Target to get the new items in stock, but here it is days before Christmas and both Targets within 30 minutes of me have the Valentine’s items in stock.

I mentioned in my updated sticker collection that I planned on getting another mini binder to further divide my stickers. I wanted to separate ones that I would use frequently to those that are more seasonal. The binder I initially purchased was $3 and while I thought this one was $3 as well, it was actually $4. Still not bad for a mini binder. While I was in that same section I purchased the Paper Mate Flair pens and the roll on white out. I’m so happy that I bought the Flair pens because they do not bleed through on the Happy Planner pages.

IMG_2839

In the Dollar Spot I found the Christmas page flags and the new line that came out as well. I hope to find more before everyone snatches up the new line. I also picked up a donut sticky pad set and my favorite of all would be the heart sticker book and robots.

IMG_2838

The heart sticker book will be great throughout the entire month of February whether it’s in the monthly spread or in the weekly views. I might even do a panda spread with those stickers because they’re so stinking cute. For my fellow readers that follow my planner posts, expect to see these stickers in my spreads come September.

Again I didn’t pick up much because I really have a lot of list pads, pens, sticky notes already, which I shared in my Ikea Raskog set up. It’s nice to add seasonal things, but even though the stationery is only $1, I don’t need nor do I use it all. I’ve found a new love for the page flags which I’ll snag if I find them in stock, but that’s about it.

Happy HAULidays 2015!

MERRY MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS! I wanted to share my Christmas gifts with you all similar to what I did last year (click HERE for that post). Now on to this years HAULidays.

Like usual, there was nothing in particular that I really wanted. Although I am planner obsessed and would’ve been fine with a boatload of stickers, but my friends and family also know how much I love sentimental gifts. The one thing I did want this year was a bed in a bag since my comforter ripped in the dryer and thankfully my grandmother gifted me with just that.

IMG_2868

I received an outfit from Forever 21 from my sisters and my sisters know me so well to keep it super neutral. As I grow more into my style I know the colors that I like, the fit that I like, and where I like to shop. I haven’t purchased anything from Forever 21 in quite sometime, but expect a future outfit of the day featuring these items in the near future.

IMG_2848

I received a lot of gift cards from the parents at my job. Majority of those gift cards were to Target and I’ve spent most of them. Target is definitely my  weak spot. A Target haul will be coming soon. As for the other gifts I received from parents one gave me a super cute set from Bath & Body Works with the scent Winter Candy Apple. My favorite detail of the set would have to be the bag. I’ll definitely be putting this on in my car and swapping out the current scent I have, Sensual Amber.

The other gift that I absolutely loved from a parent was a personalized thermos. It’s pictured above with the saying ‘Wise & Wonderful.’ The box I received it in says it was purchased from Zulily and I give a lot of credit to this parent because her gifts are great. It’s nice to receive money/gift cards around the holidays, but you can never count out thoughtful gifts.

I received a little owl notepad which I had to share since I’m obsessed with owls, but two of my other favorite gifts were a mug and the ‘List Your Self’ book. The mug is from Pier 1 and it’s so cute that I don’t want to take it out of the packaging. I have accumulated so many mugs that a mug collection is coming soon. The ‘List Your Self’ book is so nice and will be great for journaling on those days that I want to journal of something different.

I’m very happy with the gifts I did receive, but more importantly I enjoyed spending time with my family and friends. From my holiday party to my Christmas Eve family dinner. As I get older I really enjoy the time spent over the gifts received.

Collective Planner Haul

I’ve been pretty good at not going planner crazy and buying every single thing I see. The items in this haul were purchased over a period of time from Target, Hobby Lobby, Tuesday Morning, Michaels, and Dollar Tree. It is by far my smallest haul, but I still wanted to share.

IMG_2427

Target’s Dollar Spot, now known as Bullseye’s Playground has taken a turn to really cater to the planner craze whether it was planned or not. At my local Target I couldn’t track down the cute thin page flags or the list pads (not that I need anymore), but I have a particular planner theme in mind so I picked up the gold Christmas stickers. Nothing major.

From Michales I picked up the Plaid Pumpkin sticker book along with the Adhesive Craft Paper. I went crazy when I purchased basically every single Darice Christmas sticker book, so I didn’t go too crazy with Thanksgiving. My local Michaels had quite the selection, but I didn’t need every single one. I then found the adhesive craft paper which I almost passed on in the clearance section. After I saw the plaid print, I knew that for Thanksgiving week that I’d be doing the ‘Plaid Pumpkin’ theme.

I found the emoji stickers at Dollar Tree in Maryland when I went out of town for a wedding. I purchased two packs and I really should’ve bought more. The school stickers would have worked great in my Plan With Me: Back to School edition, but I didn’t have them at the time. You can purchase Sticko stickers anywhere from Walmart to Five Below and even Michaels.

IMG_2413

I absolutely love Dollar Trees line of washi tape, paper tape, whatever you want to call it. The designs for the holiday season I did not get my hands on, but the two I did are cute. I made out like a bandit where I purchased nearly a dozen of the tapes in one trip, but since I haven’t been so lucky. I also want to get into stamping, but I may just be using those stamps from Tuesday Morning for some customized Christmas cards. Stay tuned for a DIY!

There’s so many Etsy shops that I want to purchase from and I may (or may not) partake in some black friday sales, but for now I have enough to hold me over. Check out my previous planner hauls below:

Happy Mail | Fabulously Planned

I recently placed an order with the Etsy shop Fabulously Planned. This is my third with the shop and the quality never ceases to amaze me. I placed my order on October 26th during the 50% off sale, but it took 3 weeks for me to get it. I never had a problem receiving stickers from this shop, but the process did take a bit longer than I expected.

IMG_2396

I ordered two weekly kits, a Christmas countdown, gas stickers, and received a Thanksgiving sampler sheet. The two weekly kits I will be using throughout December. One is a traditional Christmas set which I’ll be using the week of Christmas. The second set was roses with the color scheme. My mother’s birthday was December 10th and I decided to dedicate a layout to her. Roses for Rosa. I was debating on whether I wanted to use the Christmas countdown in the monthly spread or my weekly view, but it’ll fit nicely at the bottom of each day throughout my weekly spreads for the month.

The gas sticker sheet was a huge surprise based off how big the sheet was. I also like that these gas stickers had the dollar sign already on them. The size plus the variety of colors will make them easy to use in any spread in both my monthly and weekly views. As for the bonus sheet, I’ll be using the Thanksgiving sampler during Thanksgiving week.

Fabulously Planned reopens on Black Friday. Be sure to  follow Fabulously Planned on Instagram for latest updates & sales.

Fall Haul

In no way am I a fashionista yet when I go shopping there’s no mistake as to what I want. I used to be an indecisive shopper simply because I didn’t know my style. I was shopping through the eyes of others. What other people were wearing, what they purchased, and those infamous YouTube hauls. I’d end up buying something, wearing it once, and placing it in the back of my closet.  I’m not a huge fan of trends and these when i purchase pieces, thrifted or not, I’m looking for staples for my wardrobe. I really love neutral tones and you can never have two much black/grey in your closet.

Outerwear:

IMG_2389

The first three items are from Banana Republic and Gap. The Banana Republic cardigan is definitely one of my favorites. It’s grey, long, and it has pockets. I have a few cardigans that don’t have pockets and I don’t wear them often simply because of that. I also have a jacket that has elbow pads from Gap. I like the contrast in material, but the elbow pads really sold me. Lastly is the windbreaker from Gap. It has plaid on the inside, a hood which is essential, and it just works. I’ve notice that I can wear a Medium from places like this yet other times I have to go up to an XL just to get it to zip. Very pleased with the quality.

Shirt/Sweater:

IMG_2380

IMG_2386

I love the blush tone color and who doesn’t love a flowy t-shirt. Both items are from Banana Republic. The blush tone sweater is great to dress up or down and the saying is not so teeny bopper that I won’t be able to wear it for years to come. The grey t-shirt reminds me of the Sex & The City movie (part 1) with Jennifer Hudson’s ‘All Dressed In Love.’ I’d style the t-shirt with the grey Cardigan above with a pair of jeans and ankle boots. To dress it up it would look great with a leather jacket, high-waist jeans, and a pair of boots.

I’ll be featuring these items in future OOTDs. In the meantime, be sure to click the links below to purchase similar items!

Planner Haul: Etsy, Michaels, & MORE!

My name is Lakia and I have a planner obsession. Did I really need to buy anymore stickers? Of course not. But hell, since I did, I might as well share. I haven’t done an Etsy haul in quite some time, but I wanted to share orders that I have placed over the past few months along with goodies from Target, Michaels, and more.

Let’s start with the items that I purchased from AC Moore. I went in specifically for wedding stickers since I’ll be attending one in October. I found not only the stickers, but the holiday washi tape set as well. The washi tape set features 13 rolls for $12.99 and with a 50% off coupon, the price was brought down to $6.50. Compared to the similar set that is sold in Michaels, the one at AC Moore is $7 cheaper. Since I had a $10 rewards gift certificate I was able to get all three items for free. SCORE!
IMG_2150

IMG_2132As for my semi-recent Etsy orders, I’ve ordered from:

Out of the four, my favorite quality of stickers would have to be Pixels and Poppies, but I’m upset that in moving the stickers that my pages were stained. I’m more upset with the shipping time being that with both orders I’ve placed the span of two months took nearly a month each to receive. No the order wasn’t coming from overseas either.  I’m still waiting on order number two. I like the LillieHenry stickers, well I’m more so obsessed with the football set, but I don’t see the huge hype around them. As for TheHappyDoodle the stickers are super cute and ImagineThatByLori is by far my fav, by default, simply because of the Steelers schedule. Links to stickers available are under the pictures.

I don’t purchase many printables since I don’t have a sticker maker. I’m still debating on whether I want to take that plunge and buy one, but that’s another topic for another day. As for now, I don’t mind buying the ones that are in blocks, a full sheet. Fine by me. Plus, the ones from MelissaBeeDesigns are only $2.

Moving on to Michaels, I couldn’t help but hunt down the Christmas Darice sticker books. The first Michaels I went to was a flop and all I purchased were stickers on sale. I then went back across town and hit the jackpot at the Michaels I should’ve went to in the first place. I purchased 9, yes 9 Christmas sticker books. If the fall ones were there I probably would’ve snagged all of those two. Expect a lot of planner layouts featuring these.IMG_2167IMG_2166
I really try my best to go into Target and buy nothing. Yes, nothing from Target. Then there’s the Dollar Spot, that seems to have more $3 these days, calling my name. I browsed and I only bought 4 things so that’s a plus. I picked up an accordion folder for more Etsy stickers plus some fall related stickers which I really had none of. As for the sticky notes. I mean, I have enough, but these are functional not just decorative. Excuses, excuses.

IMG_2185

Lastly, I wanted to share my TV show sheet with you all. There are a lot of shows coming up and instead of buying TV show stickers, although the ones from FasyShop on Etsy are AMAZING, I decided to make my own. I didn’t make one for every single TV show I watch and I only made them for half the season since I ran out of sticker paper, but I like how they turned out. It was super simple to do and really took me no time at all. Download HERE if you’re interested.

Cheers to you if you made it through this post! Be sure to click the links & hope you enjoyed the haul!

Planner Haul Featuring Target, Michaels, & AC Moore

I’m officially PLANNER OBSESSED! Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been purchasing items to decorate my planner and keep it organized from Target, Dollar Tree, and Michaels. I LOVE Michaels way more than I love AC Moore AC Moore just isn’t appealing to me anymore. As for Michaels I love the coupons that they offer constantly and every single one in my area that I’ve been to has more of a variety. Below are close up pictures of the items of purchased from each store:

Fall Haul Pt. 2

Last week I posted my Fall Haul Pt. 1 (click HERE for that). I had a couple more items that came in and I wanted to share. In shopping for fall pieces I knew that I had a lot of clothes already in my closet and I’ve even (forced myself) to downsize what I’m not wearing.

Sidebar, for the items that I have given away they are brand new or only worn a couple times. I have a few listed on Vinted (click HERE), but a majority is donated to my church’s clothes closet.

Back to the haul, I am currently buying pieces that will become staples in my wardrobe more so than be trendy. I found a pair of shoes that I love and a lippie set that I couldn’t pass up.

First up are my new shoes from ShoeDazzle. I do not want to give too much away because I will be doing a full review sometime this month on my experience with ShoeDazzle. I’ve always wanted a pair of maroon/oxblood shoe booties and I have a pair from GoJane (click HERE for that review), but these have a heel. I absolutely love them! Again stay tuned for the review. To see if the shoe is still available, click HERE. The shoe is called the ‘Jasleen’ by Leila Stone.

IMG_4013

Next up was a lippie set from Sephora that I came across last year, but it was sold out. The set is ‘Give Me More Lip’ and there is ‘Give Me Some Lip’. I received a $50 Sephora gift card for my birthday (so sweet) and I treated myself to the “Give Me More Lip” set which cost a whopping $69. Thankfully out of pocket all I had to pay was a little over $13. A full review will be given on this product from hits and misses and of course swatches, so stay tuned for that. Be sure to click all links above to get to the product, if it is still available.

IMG_4011

We are now in November, HAPPY NOVEMBER, and I will be accumulating a few more pieces here and there. The lippie set was a sure splurge, but as for future purchases I’m thinking longterm and versatile. Thanks for reading. (All photos are that of my own.)

Fall Haul Pt. 1

With less than a week left in October, I think it’s safe to still post a fall haul. Then again I can post it up right until Thanksgiving. Although Winter doesn’t begin officially until December 21st, once Thanksgiving is over it becomes Winter for me. I love posting hauls and watching them on YouTube. This time around I bought NO CLOTHES (shocking), but I stick to leggings and sweaters in the fall anyway and I really don’t need anymore. I stocked up on my essentials, treated myself to a pair of shoes, and snagged a couple candles from Bath & Body Works. Oh and I received something yummy in the mail. I’ll get to that later.

IMG_3941First up are my essentials that I had to restock on. Aside from razors and other feminine products, I had to get my favorite hair care product, Organix ‘Renewing Argon Oil of Morocco.’ With having relaxed hair this stuff works wonders. After washing and conditions my hair, I towel dry and apply this oil while its damp before blowdrying. It makes my hair so soft and I can flatiron my hair and not have to again for nearly two weeks and I owe it all to this product. It goes a long way and I had a mini size from a Organix 3 Piece Starter Kit that lasted me from October to this past late March/April.  I’ve seen the results of my hair with and without it and THIS is amazing; highly recommend.

IMG_3937Next up are my shoes from DSW. I’m not a huge fan of DSW, but I had a $15/$49 or more coupon so I took advantage. I didn’t get sneakers and a pair of boots I wanted were $150 and then I saw these. The heel is the perfect height, they are extremely comfortable and I snagged them for $40 with the coupon. The brand is Diba and the shoe is called ‘Femma’ for those interested.

IMG_3931From Bath & Body Works I picked up two candles in their 2/$22 sale, ‘Green Apple Orchard and ‘Autumn Sky. These two candles smell absolutely AMAZING! I was looking for a candle that had more of a manly scent and ‘Autumn Sky’ is PERFECT. I can’t wait to light ‘Green Apple Orchard’ on Thanksgiving.

Last but not least I jumped on the Nature Box bandwagon. My full review will go live on Wednesday (10/26/14).

In my next haul expect to see items from ShoeDazzle and Sephora.

Fashion Forward Friday [V.10]: Spring Haul (Pt.3)

This is my final installment in my Spring haul series. Be sure to check out parts 1 & 2. In this haul I will be featuring items purchased from Wet Seal, JCPenny, and eBay.

I have an OOTD coming up that will be featuring items from my previous spring hauls. I took advantage of the 5/20 deal and ordered 2 pairs of cropped leggings and 3 crop tops which I can’t wait to style. I did order a white one instead of the fuchsia pink one I received, but I guess it was out of stock. I’ll purchase it elsewhere. Click the links to get to the item.

Crop Scoop Neck Tees: Black, Blue, Pink

During Easter weekend I headed over to JCPenny and took advantage of the sale they were having. I knew I wanted a pair of converse, either blue or grey, so with a $10 off $25+ coupon I knew it’d be the perfect time to get them. These were $50, low tops are $45, so i ended up paying $40 for the sneakers which wasn’t a bad deal. I also purchased these with the dress featured in my OOTD #3.

Converse High Tops, Charcoal

Last but not least I have been eyeing the new palette from Urban Decay. The ‘Electric Pressed Pigment Palette’ is way out of my comfort zone and I won’t go into too much detail as I will be doing a ‘First Impression’ on the palette. Be on the lookout for that. I snagged this on eBay for $42 (+free shipping), regular price $49.
