It’s been a while since I’ve accumulated enough items to post a haul, but I did want to share these pieces with you that are great for the Summer and will be transitional pieces throughout the year. Enough rambling, let’s get right into it. BE sure to click the links to get to the exact/similar item.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE! It’s been a while, well it seems like a while since I’ve posted anything beauty/fashion related, but more of those related posts are to come in the next few weeks. I put together a quick outfit as I headed out to run a few errands. No jewelry because the pants are the focal point and accessory of the look. Hope you enjoy. To see my other OOTD posts, click here. Also be sure to click the links in the photo for the exact/similar items.
I’ve been posting tons of OOTDs here on my blog and it seems like forever since I’ve posted one. I’m really into putting more looks together for the blog and I thought the 4th of July would be there perfect time. I put together three looks, but future lookbooks will have more! Be sure to check out my Birkenstock lookbookHERE! Please excuse the photography, eventually it’ll get better (I have no one to take pics of me) Lastly be sure to click the links to take you directly to an item or an item similar. ENJOY!
There is no denying that history repeats itself and fashion does the same. I remember being 10 years old and having a pair of double strapped sandals and going to South of the Border with my grandparents and taking a candid shot. Now here it is 12 years later and that oh so familiar sandal is everywhere and the latest trend for Spring/Summer 2014. The shoe, commonly known as the Birkenstock is the most popular sandal of the season and can range anywhere from $89.95 – $130. The Birkenstock sandals come in a variety of styles, but I wanted to focus on the double strap, the Arizona, which is the most popular of all.
Here are 10 cheaper/inspired alternatives that I found:
There are tons of variations of the Arizona Birkenstock and different ways to style it. I’ve put together SIX looks below on how I’d style them. Be sure to check out my Polyvore for direct links: ellekia. ENJOY!
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! I was actually pretty productive today as I have begun to plan an entrepreneurial series for the fall as well as a lot of DIYs coming this summer! I will keep you all posted, of course. Although it’s the first day of summer a lot of my staples are in the laundry so I had to pick through my closet for an outfit. Aside from my meeting I had a Panera lunch with my bestie as well as perusing AC Moore & Ikea. Be sure to stay tuned for details on the projects I’m working on. In the meantime, check it out below and click the links for similar items I could find.
I came across an awesome site that allows you to sell/swap clothes with other people called Vinted. After watching one of my favorite YouTubers, Akaydoll, I decided to post some items of my own to sell, but in the future I plan to swap here and there. Check out what I’m selling so far:
Sign up for Vinted HERE. It’s easy and a great way to sell/swap your clothing/shoes/accessories at the click of a button. No hassle in trying to decide the shipping costs as its included in the quote that you set. All you do is upload the pic, describe the item, select up to two colors, set a price (you can even ) and click one of the three shipping options. Click here for my shop.
With a day off work I thought I’d shared my OOTD plus my playlist to kick off summer. The playlist is about an hour long (maybe more) and features old & new. ENJOY and be sure to click the links in the OOTD to get to similar items.
It’s been exactly a year since I’ve graduated college with my B.A. in English Communications-Broadcast Journalism. I wasn’t sure what day this post would be falling on, but how appropriate of it to fall on a Friday so I could share my OOTD from my graduation.
I can’t believe how fast a year has gone by. I have had so many setbacks since graduation, but I refuse to let those keep me down. No I have yet to have my dream job, but I’m making a path of my own and this blog chronicles my journey. Graduating college has been the biggest achievement in my life thus far and I am so thankful and appreciative to have had the opportunity to go. I can’t wait to see where I’ll be this time next year. Of course I’ll still be blogging in the meantime.
Now for my Outfit of the Day; #FlashbackFriday edition:
The dress has mixed a lot of my favorites all in one. I went shopping for a graduation dress and this was the first one I came across and I fell in love. It mixes cobalt blue, crochet, high-low, and a back zipper. I absolutely love it.
I love mixing prints and colors, more specifically, stripes and floral. I had a similar outfit like this in my OOTD #4, but this time around I kept it more simple. Check out the outfit below & click to get the item/similar item. ENJOY!
I have yet another OOTD, Mother’s Day Edition. I’m not doing anything major for the day, but I decided to dress up just a little. My pieces are from Forever 21, a local thrift store, and my usual jewelry from H&M/NY&CO/Wet Seal. Check out the details below. Be sure to check out my outfit from yesterday, OOTD #5: Color Block.
