Welcome to the 7th edition of Chaotic Visions. I am so happy to have made it thus far with this series. I came up with the idea in late 2016 as I wanted to create a series that showcased female empowerment. What better way than sharing the amazing stories of female entrepreneurs. I have shared the brands and road to successes of amazing female entrepreneurs and this time around is no different!

This edition is about the amazing Pachet Spates, creator of Enduring Ink. As someone that has always used a journal, her brand is definitely one I wanted to feature.

Keep Yourself From Burning Out

Life gets busy. It can surely get overwhelming. You may find yourself being pulled this way and that way. You may have a mile long to do list yet you don’t know where to start. Sometimes, that’s just how life is. You’re so busy that you find yourself working around the clock to get things done. With all that hard work, it still feels like you’re behind. You’re still playing catch up. It’s never ending. Say hello to burning yourself out.

Chaotic Reads | Audible Favorites

I have always been fond of reading, but as I’ve gotten older I have strayed away from actual books. I love the collection that I have that spans from my Harry Potter series to various motivational books and biographies/memoirs. I have found audiobooks very helpful. I listen to them throughout my work day and commute.

Everybody has a story. What I admire are those that share theirs without fear in hopes of empowering others. In this edition I was able to learn more about the woman behind one of my favorite YouTube channels, Paloma Batters. Her channel, CouponToProvide has definitely inspired me to use what I have when crafting, be a smarter shopper, and build my confidence from within.

Motivational Monday | Pray Your Way Out Of It

For the second time in less than a year I find myself unemployed. In July of 2016 I quit my job at a daycare that I had been at for 6 years. I went on to finish and gain my MBA in Marketing that August, and by September I was in a new role. While the role was not full-time, it was a step in the right direction and I was able to put my Masters to use. Although I was offered the ‘potential’ of a full-time position in this role in January as fate would have it, a job I loved was not my destiny. So here I am, back to the drawing board. What’s next?

Motivational Monday | Irrelevant Goals?

When I come across something that makes me think outside the box or simply changes my perspective, I like to share it here on the blog. The purpose of this Motivational Monday series, even my Sound Off series for that matter is to challenge your way of thinking. Sometimes we get so boxed in to what “we” think that we tend to ignore the insightful thoughts of others. A Facebook video that I recently came across is one of those instances that made me think. The topic, goal setting. Are my goals irrelevant? Am I not progressing the way I want because I’m stuck?

This edition features Alexis Giostra, owner and creator of Strange and Charmed. I came across Alexis a few years back on Instagram, discovered her YouTube channel, and her entire Strange and Charmed brand. I gravitated towards her informational videos that were sleek, trendy, and full of resources. With a series like this, I had to include one of the people that challenged me to take my content to the next level by embracing the fact that I too am a resource to others.

My church has added a new monthly service geared at millennials. The purpose of the service is to simply bring back those that may have strayed away from regularly attending church, like myself, with an engaging service. After attending the first service, which was amazing, I wanted to share the topic of that night, “Enjoy the ride.”
