Power Hour | Crush the Chaos

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I know I’m not the only one scrambling to get my house semi-decent for company. I feel like the holiday season is when everyone cleans strives to keep their homes clean for entertaining, but throughout the year that may not be the case. I spent this past weekend deep cleaning my downstairs and I still have things to do. One thing in particular, such as cleaning my bathroom right before company arrives, is on my list. Although I do this regularly, I want it to be in tip top shape. This post is all about my Power Hour tips, plus a playlist of videos to get you motivated. Ready, set, crush the chaos!

Hallway Closet Cleanout | Crush the Chaos

I know I am not the only person to have a junk closet. I mean, my intentions were good when I first started placing items inside. I had a place for the vacuum cleaner which then turned to 3 vacuum cleaners. I’d have a space for my seasonal items, which has now exploded into different areas. I’m a crafter so having items in bulk is ideal, but bulk items are scattered everywhere! One of my goals before the end of Summer 2017 is to get this space organized and functioning. It’s not meant to be picture perfect! This edition of Crush the Chaos shares the mess as is before I clean and organize it.

New Work Bag + Organization

With a new position, I have switched up my bag. I have found what works and what doesn’t. Sometimes I try to create too many organizers for myself. Yes, it’s possible to be OVER organized. With my work bag I’ve simplified the bag and what’s inside. I also have a bag that I typically wouldn’t use unless I was going to the beach, but it works!

2017 Closet Purge + Cheap Organization| Crush the Chaos

Desk Declutter | Crush the Chaos

Welcome to another new series here on my blog, Crush the Chaos. This series will feature me going through my home and other areas of my life, organizing and implementing systems that I can keep up with. Plus, I’ll share my top tips along the way.

One of the key problems you may come across when you declutter is that you don’t know where to start, you get too overwhelmed, or you can’t get rid of certain items because of some sentimental value. Then when it comes to organizing, it’s a whole other ballgame. Sometimes we over organize and think that a container solves everything, but that’s not the case.

This first is my desk declutter. As always be sure to click the highlighted links throughout this post for related posts and links to purchase items/similar styles featured.

Bedroom Revamp | Nightstand Reorganization

Welcome to another edition of my bedroom revamp series. The first installment was my dresser trash to treasure. We come across pieces that are inexpensive at the time, yet break down, but there’s no sense in throwing it away if you can make it work. I revamped my dresser and made it work for me since I don’t have a budget to buy a new one. Click HERE to read more on that revamp.

In this edition I’ll be sharing how I reorganized an old nightstand. Keep reading for my top organization tips.
